Stolen from a lot of people on my friendslist:
No such beast. Every show that you mourn because it was so damn good would have probably sucked if had been given enough time.
Having heard some of the plans and ideas people had for Firefly, Dark Angel, My So-Called Life and many others there has hardly ever been a show where I wanted to watch the things we didn't get to see.
I think the cake would have taken Wonderfalls for Jaye as the messiah (it sounds cracky and I love that sort of thing) but its finale is pitch-perfect and there is one show that never had that: the Danish Riget.
Described once as "ER on acid", it's a comedy-medical drama-ghost story-love-story-horror-thriller a very realistic look and feel.
It was supposed to consist of three series/miniseries and the third one never happened because two of the main actors died. Needless to say it ended on a cliffhanger and there has never been any talk to re-cast.
God, what a mess.
